Mobiles for Development --- Call for participation and sharing your initiatives during Government Transformation Forum 2010

It is a pleasure to share with you that Government Transformation Forum 2010  is scheduled for June 30 - July 1, 2010 at Hotel Imperial, Janpath , New Delhi, India.
 
The mission of Government Transformation initiative is to enable sharing of learning practices about the cutting edge technologies for delivery of inclusive public services among government, academia and global experts. The annual Government Transformation Forum is the platform that provides an opportunity to consultants, government agencies, academia and civil society organizations to deliberate on current developments and upcoming trends related to the domain as well as showcase their initiatives/ applications.
 
GTF 2010 is the second in the series of national consultations with the overall focus on Innovative Public Services for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development. Following thematic areas will be addressed during two day deliberations:
 
 

Wednesday June 30, 2010 - Framework for Public Safety and Border Management

Inaugural Address  : Shri Mullappally Ramachandran, Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India*
Keynote Address: Mr. Parasuramen - Head UNESCO India
  • Session I: Framework for Border Management and Public Safety - Role of ICT and new media technologies
  • Session II: Global best practices in public safety and disaster management
  • Panel Discussion : Framework for inter agency collaboration on information sharing
 

Thursday  July 01 , 2010 - Mobile Applications for Inclusive Development and Sustainable Growth

Inaugural Address : Shri Gurudas Kamat, Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information technology, Government of India
  • Session I : Mobile Banking and Insurance Services - Enabling Financial Inclusion through innovative applications
  • Session II : Policy framework for e-health services and role of mobile applications in delivering services to rural citizens
  • Session III: Showcasing  and Demonstration of Innovative Mobile Applications for Government Health and Education domains

Guidelines for Participation
 
GTF 2010 is an invitation only event and the participation in the forum is only through prior confirmation. The members of the group who wish to participate in the forum  are requested to communicate their interest for participation ASAP but not later than June 17, 2010. Please note that we may not be in a position to accommodate all the requests as the requests for participation will be approved by the core group based upon the profile of attendees and relevance of their current work to the themes of the forum. Guidelines for Presenting during GTF 2010

 
Most of the speakers for GTF 2010 have been finalized. However, any of the organizations ( Government, Corporate, Academic) who would like to share any of their initiatives, applications in the space of mobile technologies for health, educations or governance may send in their interest with complete details of the application to the undersigned at the email ID vikaskanungo@egovindia.org  by June 15, 2010. The selected presenters will be notified of the acceptance of their initiative for presentation by June 18, 2010.
